MEMBERSHIP (ARC-FELA)
Oversee AIA New Orleans efforts to grow the membership, invigorate existing members and encourage lapsed members to return to AIANO. Track membership numbers, welcome new members. Recruit attendees at AIA programs.

Meets on the First Monday of every month at 6:00pm in AIA New Orleans.

FISCAL (ARC-FELA)
Responsible for overseeing AIA New Orleans financial matters.
Treasurer: Gina Andre

COMMUNICATIONS (ARC-FELA)

Includes Public relations, newsletter and website. Responsible for documenting events and PR activities. Responsible for overseeing, along with the Executive Director, the activities and progress of the PR agent.

Meets on the Second Thursday of every month at 12:00pm in AIA New Orleans.

ADVOCACY (ARC-FELA)

This Committee coordinates efforts relative to legislation, ordinances and codes at all levels of government. Current efforts include promoting acceptance of the State Fee Curve.

Meets on the Last Tuesday of every month at 1:00pm at AIA New Orleans.

ASSOCIATES

Includes all programs directed at Associate members, including IDP, ARE, Mentoring, NCAARB and licensing issues, Young Architects Events and more.

Meets on the last Wednesday of every month at 6:00pm at AIA New Orleans.

ARE SEMINARS & STUDY SESSIONS

ASSOCIATES’ EVENTS

NOMINATING

Nominates candidates for office for the following year. Nominates members for all other appointments and nominations AIANO makes to affiliate organizations.

Meets two times a yearly; Tuesday March 4 and Tuesday September 2 at 8:00am. Place TBD.

FELLOWSHIP

Encourages and assists candidate for FAIA status in their application process.

SUSTAINABLE DESIGN

Acts as the primary connection to national and local events and activities as concerns sustainable design issues.

Meets second Wednesday of every month at 5:30pm at AIA New Orleans.

BY-LAWS COMMITTEE (Ad Hoc)

Reviews and recommends changes to AIA New Orleans by-laws.

Meets on the last Monday of every month at 8:00am. Meeting location TBD.

AIA GUIDE to N.O. ARCHITECTURE (Ad Hoc)

Working towards production Guide to New Orleans Architecture for 2011 AIA National Convention. Also sets plan for regular updates to this guide.

REAL ESTATE – STOREFRONT (Ad Hoc)

Responsible for identifying new permanent home locations for AIA New Orleans, and managing collaborative relationships with potential organizational partners.

Meets every first and third Monday of every month at 12:00pm at AIA New Orleans.

DEVELOPMENT

Seeks and coordinates sponsorships of AIA New Orleans events by means other than dues. Works closely with Programs Committee.

PROGRAMS and SPECIAL EVENTS

Coordinates the various programs provided by AIANO, including educational opportunities, monthly building tours, lecture series, exhibitions, etc. Subcommittees plan the events and seek sponsors for the events.

Seeks, evaluates and coordinates efforts to provide instructional continuing education opportunities to AIA New Orleans members.

ARCHITECT PAIRING

Consists of those members who have volunteered to participate in the Pairing Program, in which architects assist hurricane-affected homeowners and business owners.

Will plan an “Open House New Orleans” featuring work of AIA New Orleans members.
